As a reminder, rent is due (meaning that it has been received and is accessible for use) by the 1st of each month.
Reporting that a payment is in the mail or in the process of being sent by your bank does not count as funds having been received and being accessible for use. Be sure to send payments well enough in advance of the due date that they will be received on or before the due date.
If your rent payment has not been received by then, eviction proceedings will continue until the eviction process is completed or your payment (plus late payment fees) has been submitted in full.
As long as any balance remains on your rent, eviction proceedings will continue.
You are welcome and encouraged to make partial payments as you are able. As long as the full amount of rent owed is all received on or before the 1st, your rent will be considered paid in full.
Making smaller payments in advance of the rent due date helps ensure that your rent is always paid early or on time (which looks better on your rental payment history) without the pressure of having to come up with the full amount on the due date.
